- A female Gorse Shieldbug
Piezodorus lituratus is shown ovipositing on a Bramble
Rubus sp. in the second photograph - fortunately not too far
from a Gorse
Ulex europaeus bush. The barrel-shaped eggs appear to be
enormous when compared with the size of their mother and they are arranged
neatly into alternating rows. A batch of fourteen eggs was laid.
