NOON-FLY Mesembrina meridiana (f)

·         The Noon-fly Mesembrina meridiana (Muscidae) is highly distinctive because of the conspicuous orange markings at the bases of its wings. It is a large, predominantly glossy black fly with a yellow-orange face and feet, and unlikely to be mistaken for anything else.
