SLENDER GROUND-HOPPER Tetrix subulata

·         Slender Ground-hoppers Tetrix subulata are small, inconspicuous insects related to grasshoppers that will probably escape the attention of many. They are often abundant in marshlands and wet meadows in the southern counties, and they can be difficult to see against a background of dried mud. There are three British species.
