The upper- and undersides of a fresh Garden
Pebble Moth Evergestis forficalis,
a common, widely distributed, and reasonably distinctive (unless the scales
have been worn away) micro-moth belonging to the family Crambidae,
are illustrated. It is always useful when a moth lands on a window, as it
enables both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides to be photographed!
The larvae feed on brassicas.
