These photographs of a captive Brown Long-eared Bat Plecotus auritus were taken at a special event at which this intriguing little
insectivorous mammal was being shown to attendees by a licensed handler. Only
two photographs were taken to minimise stress for the subject. The structure
and sophistication of their ears is simply fascinating – the wings are rather
marvellous too!
